Scouts BSA & Girl Scouts Programs
The Municipal Water District of Orange County (MWDOC) helps OC Scouts explore the world of water! In partnership with local water agencies, MWDOC hosts hands-on STEAM clinics where Scouts BSA can earn the Soil & Water Conservation Merit Badge and Girl Scouts can earn the MWDOC Water Resources & Conservation Patch. Together, we uncover where our water comes from, the challenges of delivering it to OC, and how to use it wisely.
OC Scouts BSA Soil & Water Conservation Merit Badge
OC Scouts BSA can earn their Soil & Water Conservation Merit Badge through a fun, hands-on clinic hosted by MWDOC and local water partners. Designed for ages 11–17, this 4-hour workshop explores the connection between soil and water, conservation practices, pollution, and water quality.
