Rebate Information
The Spray-to-Drip Rebate Program is currently available from participating water agencies for Orange County residential and commercial customers.
- Projects that are underway or already completed prior to the receipt of the “Letter to Proceed” email are not eligible to participate.
- Rebates start at $0.25 per square foot of spray-to-drip conversion.
- The conversion must replace working, standard spray irrigation with drip irrigation. A minimum of 250 square feet of irrigated area must be converted to drip irrigation. Maximum of 5,000 square feet per application.
- The installed drip irrigation equipment must be listed on the Eligible Products List (found in the Program Documents).
- Every Spray-to-Drip project must include:
- A pressure regulator and filter listed on the Eligible Products List.
- In-line emitter tubing listed on the Eligible Products List. In-line drip emitter tubing is standard polyethylene tubing with pre-installed pressure compensating (PC) emitters along the length of the tubing.
- Microspray, point source emitters, drippers, and bubblers are NOT ELIGIBLE for residential Spray-to-Drip projects.
- Any drip irrigation with different flow rates, as well as any non-drip irrigation equipment, must run on separate irrigation valves. Having mixed flow rates on the same valve will void the project.
- Any unused spray heads in the project area must be removed or capped. Spray heads outside of the project area must not overspray onto the project area.
