Our efforts focus on sound planning and appropriate investments in water supply development, water use efficiency, public information, legislative advocacy, water education, and emergency preparedness.

Program Description
The Municipal Water District of Orange County is partnering with the Metropolitan Water District of Southern California and participating local retail water providers to bring you the Turf Removal Program (Program). The goals of this program are to increase water use efficiency within Orange County, reduce runoff leaving the properties, and evaluate the effectiveness of water-saving practices.

Through this Program, residential and small commercial customers of participating retail water providers are eligible to receive an incentive of $2.00 (or more) per square foot of turf removed for qualifying projects. Your participation in this Program is voluntary and is encouraged by your local retail water provider.
