Water Policy Forum & Dinner
MWDOC’s Water Policy Forum & Dinners showcase high-profile speakers leading today’s public policy discussions. Featuring water industry experts, political and regulatory officials, and other key figures, these events provide valuable insights on critical water issues and initiatives shaping our future.
The Monday, June 15 event will focus on the future of California water management, featuring a panel on the Sites Reservoir Project. Experts will discuss water rights, regional benefits, costs, and next steps for this key infrastructure effort.
OC Water Summit
This premier annual event bringing together water industry leaders, elected officials, business professionals, and community stakeholders to tackle pressing water challenges. Explore critical topics in water supply reliability, policy innovations, emerging technologies, and sustainable solutions—while building valuable connections through dedicated networking opportunities.
This year’s event will take place Friday, September 25.
Water Awareness Poster Contest
For over three decades, MWDOC has presented the annual Water Awareness Poster Contest to all Orange County students in grades K-12. The Poster Contest offers children an opportunity to use their artistic talents to express the importance and value of water through artwork. Each year, hundreds of entries are collected from students and classrooms across the county, and from these entries, 40 winners are selected.
Community Splash Zone
We love connecting with our community! MWDOC participates in local festivals, school fairs, and family-friendly events to share fun, hands-on water education. With interactive booths and helpful resources, we’re bringing water-saving tips and smiles to people of all ages. Want to bring the splash to your event? Water Inspection Trips
Ever wonder where your water really comes from? In Orange County, about half of our water travels from hundreds of miles away from the Colorado River and Northern California. Each year, local leaders host behind-the-scenes tours of major water infrastructure across California. These educational trips offer a unique look at the challenges of water supply, water quality, conservation, and more.

Ricky the Rambunctious Raindrop℠ is 50 years young and still making waves across Orange County! Bursting with energy and water wisdom, Ricky loves teaching kids about using water wisely, the water cycle, and more!
