Linda Ackerman

Since April 2008, Ackerman has been a director representing MWDOC on the board of Metropolitan Water District of Southern California (Metropolitan). She has served as Vice Chair of the Metropolitan Board and has served on a number of committees, including the Subcommittee on Imported Water; Ad Hoc Committee on Communications and Facilities Naming, Legislation and Communications Committee; One Water and Adaptation Committee; and the Organization, Personnel and Effectiveness Committee

Ackerman served as a member and was a former Vice Chair on the Sana Ana Regional Water Quality Control Board from 2010 through 2018. In addition, she represented the Regional Water Quality Control Board as a member of the Watershed Project Authority’s One Water One Watershed Board, an innovative, integrative Regional Water Management Plan. She has also served as the Vice Chair of the Municipal Caucus at the National Water Resources Association.

She served as Chair of the Federal Affairs Committee from 2010 through 2016 and served on the committee until 2022.

Ackerman is a member of the board of directors of USCB America, Inc., a California receivable and management company. She has been an active member of the Assistance League of Fullerton for many years and served in leadership capacities, as well as serving as a national board member. Ackerman is a member of the California Women’s Leadership Association and many other community and civic organizations.

She served as the National Committeewoman for California on the Republican National Committee from 2008 to 2016. She also served on the Advisory Committee for the California Federation of Republican Women and as President for the Marian Bergeson Excellence in Public Service Series.
