OC Water Smart Rebate Program

Rebates on select water-saving devices are currently available to Orange County residents and businesses through the OC Water Smart Rebate Program. The following rebates and programs are currently available:

Turf Removal

Replace your lawn with beautiful native and California Friendly plants, which require very little water and are better suited to Southern California's semi-arid climate. By removing your lawn, you can lower your water bill and reduce the amount of harmful water runoff that leaves your property and eventually enters our waterways.

Residential and Commercial Rebate Level: $2.00 (or more) per square foot of turf removed

about your plants, soil, and weather conditions to give your landscape the right amount of water year-round.

Residential Rebate Level: Up to $380 per controller for properties less than one acre; OR $35 per station for properties at least one acre or greater.
Commercial Rebate Level: $35 per station for properties of all sizes.

Installation: For a limited time, rebates of up to $120 are available for professional installation of smart irrigation timers. To qualify, you must have a receipt showing your installation costs.
