HECW Rebate Application
Program Description
- Receive a $100 rebate for replacing
your old washing machine with a new High Efficiency
Clothes Washer (HECW). Rebates are available on
a first-come, first-served basis, while funds last.
- You may also save on energy costs as the machines extract more water from the clothes therefore reducing drying time.
- These machines use 15 to 25 gallons
less water per load and depending on use, this can
save 7,000 gallons of water per year.
- Machines must be purchased on or after
January 1, 2006. Machines purchased between January 1, 2006 and June 30, 2008 must have a water factor of 6.0 or less. IMPORTANT: Machines purchased on or after July 1, 2008 must have a water factor of 5.0 or less. Click here

- Machines must be installed in a single family residence within Orange
County, California. As a participant in this rebate
program, you must be willing to allow an inspection
of the installed machine for verification of program
compliance.
- You may also save on energy costs
as the machines extract more water from the clothes
therefore reducing drying time.
- Contact your local gas (http://www.socalgas.com)
or electric utility (http://www.sce.com/sc3/default.htm),
as additional rebates may be available.
How to Participate:
- Purchase and install the machine in a single family residence located within Orange County, California.
- Call 1-800-954-4344
for a rebate application (2-pages), or

- Complete the application and submit
it, along with your original purchase receipt and
a copy of your most recent water bill, to:

- Applications are processed on a first-come, first-served basis while funding lasts. You should receive your rebate check approximately 12 to 16 weeks after we receive your completed application.
- This offer cannot be combined with any other toilet program managed by the Municipal Water District of Orange County.
